Who will I be?
They say the first rule of being a writer is to never stop writing.
*scratches head*...
Well my friends, I have clearly failed to do this. And I really don't have much of an excuse. I've always felt like the more you have going on in your life, the more you SHOULD be writing.
But I've wasted most of my talent this past year and a half on emails and slick ways to explain things for other people, organize their thoughts. I've spent little time doing social media for a couple organizations...
But other than that, I have barely written a single thing. Not a poem, no notes, no stories, no slick lines, no letters - well, a cover letter or two maybe, but that hardly takes the cake for the miraculous things I used to do.
I know one of my reasons for veering from this Blog was to use Tumblr, which I don't any more.
Another bigger reason is my new found muse. His name is Owen, and he is my 5 month old son. He fills me with so much joy and love. I don't know why I haven't been able to type witty things about him, but I haven't.
Anyway, the point is, I'm not doing my job as writer - even though it's not my literal job. It's more like... a calling. And if I don't answer his beckoning then there's a possibility he could leave me forever. And I don't want that.
This past year and a half I feel like I've lost a part of my self. Which is why I will not start a new blog, I will continue this one, as an extention of who I used to be, who am, and who I will become.
I wrote a quote this morning:
"Never stop practicing your craft.
Never stop seeking inspiration.
Don't forget who you are."
It's all me.
I will do my best to find pieces of inspiration around me and stay current and up to date with my passions, the things that make me tick, and the things that make me, me.

Update on Life
Hey Blogspot,
I've been thinking about you and I thought my life deserved an update.
Well I have left New York you know, it's been about a month now, *sadface*.
Although I didn't love it, I do kind of miss the new adventures everyday.
But now I'm back in Richmond for good (for now). And living comfortably in an affordable apartment. It was my top priority.
Now I am scratching the surface for a job I will actually enjoy and be able to use my many skills in. I have my eye on a certain company or 2. I'm just hoping these folks will call me so they can have my wonderful self running around their office and succeeding.
It's just a matter of time.
Companies, you know who you are.
Hire me, kthx.
