Smart Packaging

This one of my favorite bottles ever because DUH, it's so eye catching.
But the amazing part about it doesn't come until you read the bottle.
The language it uses is sarcastic and is guaranteed to make you want to buy it. I mean, they are up against all the brands that sell water, AND tap so they really have no choice.

But anyway, I just wanted to blog about it! lol.



(And on the inside of the bottle there are pictures and words, it just makes you look a it in detail, good job Smart Water!)

UrbanD

One of the most influential sites of our time and generation is definitely UrbanDictionary.com.

I don't think there's anything like this 2.0 site! What happens is, people take slang (and words that are in the dictionary that are used as slang) and they give them a definition. Multiple people can define it, but the people who look up the word can either yay or nay definitions, and the one with the most yays stays on top.

It's just crazy to think about like, what did people do 20 years ago? Lol, ask?!

I even defined my own words on the site, it's pretty cool.

It's also silly how people from different places define things lol.

Meh. (look that up =))

Future Winters

I started this cool series kind of thing in my poetry class that I like to call Future Winters (working title); sooner or later I'm going to come up with a better one.

But anyway it's all about my life in the future.
I hate the winter. It always brings times of just cold weather and cold feelings, trees lose their leaves, people get sick, and things are harder; which is kind of the attitude that I wanted to give off. I'm also a bit of a hopeless romantic so it is going to shine a lot in these poems.
Maybe I will change the title again because I may write about summer or spring too... hmmm the possibilities of these poems and of the future.

Anyway, I thought it was kind of neat to think of moments like that in the first place, nonetheless write some poetry about it, haha.

The whole idea of it is going to be the thought of alternate realities because I don't know what's really going to happen, but it's interesting.
Here is one of the 2 I've already written.

36°F(uture)

Five years later
I’m
Pushing my Chevy
Malibu down
Broadway and
10th,

With the heat on;
WXNY calls for the snow
storm of the century
and I’m flippin’ out.

Real Uggs
on my feet
finally; thinking
how did I get this far?
with no
one by my side;

I had been
Searching in my mind;
and everywhere,
Bars, clubs, coffee shops,
for what I thought
would complete me--
but the Verizon
target audience is all that
resonates
in my head.
“It feels like winter in here,”

I say;
for the first
time,
in a long
time,
standing on my stoop.

The first
snowflake
fell to the ground.

Kind of like a preview.
Meh.

Open Web Awards

So I'm completely intrigued by this thing Mashable.Com calls the Open Web Awards.

I mean like. Wtf.
This stuff is so epic.

Awards for online stuff?
This is actually their third year doing this and I think it's a great idea, I mean they have awards for a bunch of other random stuff right?

They have many categories that just go right at social media and technology and wtf I'm just amazed.

But anyway they have categories about what company used each of the social networking sites the best with branding, best Facebook App, best news website, best mobile game, best actress to follow, best blog, Twitpic of the year, etc.

The voting takes place on all the social media sites and people tweet about it, etc.

I think it's just amazing.

Web 2.0 at it's finest.

MAIP

Really hype about this internship.
Even though it's finals, and I'm highly stressed out,
I'm still finding time to work on this application and essays and stuff.
Rargh.

But I really want it so hey,
you gotta work for what you want right?

I'm learning that the hard way.

This advertising stuff is NOT easy and for anyone who thinks so they can kick rocks.
It's a lot of work and it takes a person with a lot of dedication and ambition to survive.

I got this. =)

More Cool Packaging

I've been really big on packaging lately because I think it's super awesome and I keep seeing interesting things in random places.
Packaging is the first thing people see when they are about to buy something, and I think it's super cool to have somethin unique to wrap your product in.

I recently came across these holiday Coke bottles and they are INSANEEEE!!



They look like ornaments aaahhhhh.
I just wanna hang em on a tree!

[The only difficulty is they may be hard to put in a cup holder, poop.]

Insights in the Strangest Places

Riding down the street earlier, I saw the stupid Wendy's sign and wondered why it's so old fashioned. Why they never really went modern and why they chose red as their main color...?

I mean of course there's all the obvious reasons but I want it there to be deeper meaning behind everything in life so I assume it's something....

Aliens maybe?

I don't know but it made me realize how crazy my mind is. Haha.

I've never in my life been this observant,
and I'm pretty observant so this is extreme.

I just think it's funny how everything gets so much thought now-a-days.
I'm going to go ahead and blame it on these thinking classes.
This so called 'gift' will continue to grow.

But it's a good thing.
