And if you want to be me, be me. And if you want to be you, be you.

What's with bogus commercials these days?
I often sit here and think about it, not only because I am an advertising major, but because I'm also a consumer.
Marketing is just such a funny thing.

Because we're in the 21st century, the technology age, the age of the new age, we tend to be so busy; too busy to even look up at the TV when we're watching, or we're listening to music while doing homework, or texting and driving, haha.

But I was facebooking while the TV was on, and I sat here singing to myself a commercial that I realized I had never even seen before.

"I took my classes online, got my degree on my own time!"
(wtf?)

I said to my friend, 'I didn't even know what this stupid commercial looked like!' (and in all honesty, I wish I had never seen it).

It made me realize how quickly people can get the message, and how amazing it really is that people can get that without always concentrating on it. Our brains are getting smaller, but we can handle so much more as far as noise goes. It's just a silly thought though, that we don't even have to like a product, or their advertising, or anything about it to get their message. It makes me think of Whipple, the Charmin guy. Everyone hated him, but he was so epic.

Now, see how many annoying commercials you know without realizing it!

Another random commercial I finally paid attention to:

Rargh it's just so damn catchy!
